Good mail

In the past few days, we've hit the jackpot mail-wise. We've receive two more newsy letters from Uncle Bob, a wonderful letter from Grandma Strei, and today, a package from Grandma Becker with snacks and toys. We are all enjoying the correspondence (especially me - I love anything written in English these days.) Sam and Katie dancing to Vivaldi on the little radio in the package from Omaha.
Isaac hanging out next to his new teether.

Grace dancing to Chopin.
Katie putting the Play-doh through its paces.
Tomorrow Isaac turns 4 months, and I'll start him on rice cereal. At least, I think it is rice cereal. I stood in the baby aisle at the market today for at least 10 minutes trying to figure out what was what. I knew the German word for rice (reis) and the German word for iron (eisen) [the two ingredients I wanted], but there were way too many options for me to sort them out. I am pretty sure I bought a box of rice cereal with no additives. I'm not sure if it is instant, and I don't think it has iron. This first solid food feeding with Isaac will be more of an adventure than with the first three kids.

Dave filmed Isaac today. He says the only pictures of Isaac that I've posted on the website show him laying down. So here you will see him upright, in all his action and expressiveness. Hold onto your seats...

  1. HQuestion for you - how is the weather there? I notice you are wearing long sleeves a lot. We won't see long sleeves in Texas for many months now!

  2. I'm glad you got the box and enjoyed it. Isaac was pretty quiet in this film. Is he always that way? Great Grandpa asked about you all today.
