Hauling wood

On Christmas night, there was a huge gale here.  Trees down all over town, huge waves, and Pirbadet, the swimming hall, had many of its windows blown out by the wind and water.  More winds were predicted for the next night, so Dave thought it would be a good idea to bring in the remainder of our wood.  That way we wouldn't need to worry about keeping it dry and the tarps tethered down.

I finished Dave's Christmas present one day late.
Dave requested a hand knit scarf made of scratchy Norsk wool.  Here he is holding the label from the yarn, so he knows it's 100% Norwegian wool.  It's just over six and a half feet long.  It took me just over a week to make it.  Might not have much need to wear it once we get home, but he'll look darn nice in it for our next week here in Norway.
My Norwegian fellow.

  1. Excellent work on the scarf.

PS Norwegians do make wool that's not scratchy. Called Baby Ul. I think it's merino... : )
