Christmas day

Enjoying their gifts from Julenissen
"Can you believe what I found in my stocking?!"  Santa gave Grace a Pippi Longstocking cup.  Any time the topic of watching a movie comes up, Grace votes for "Peepee."
The completed Genosian Starfighter
Isaac plays with his new train.
Katie decorates her house with some stencils.
Time for Christmas dinner.  The ribbe is out of the oven and looking good.
Rødkål (red cabbage)
Mashed kålrabistappe (rutabaga), julepolse (Christmas sausage), and carrots
No Norwegian meal is complete without a big ol' bowl of potatoes.
The green bean casserole - not a Norwegian tradition, but a Jorgensen tradition
Dave carves the rib.  The crackling was so tasty.  I wish this was a standard cut that one could get in the states.  We may need to find a savvy butcher who can do the job for us back home.
Ready for dinner
Time to dig in
My plate - this may be my favorite meal I have ever cooked.
Lighting candles on the birthday cake.  The kids all made short work of their pieces.
