Christmas festivities

I love a good, flat cornfield, but these snow covered mountains are pretty nice to look at too.
When we got to barnehage on Friday, we discovered that Hedvig Ingebørg had arrived in an identical sled.  We parked ours next to hers.
There is a Christmas market (Julemarket) going on in downtown Trondheim.

Inside the teepees - there's a cafe that sells waffles and hot chocolate, and huge roaring fires surrounded by benches lined with furs.
Some of the cute stalls - if you want crafts or Nordic food from local farms, this is the place to be.

King Olav is wearing a scarf for the the holidays.
Some school children watching a performance at the Julemarket
Walking home with Isaac.  That is the university in the background.
"Mom, take a picture of my snow angel!"
Playing Connect Four with Maggie the babysitter
Dave and I went to see Handel's Messiah performed at the Nidaros Cathedral by the Domkor  (one of the choirs at the Cathedral) and the Trondheim Symphony.  Wow, was it awesome.  I have played the Messiah (in my days in orchestra) and Dave has sung parts of it with choir back home in Texas, but it was really nice to be able to experience it together.
