Thanksgiving preparations

Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in Norway (lots of Vikings in their history, but not so many pilgrims or Native Americans), but that didn't stop us from having a family meal of gratitude.  We had our Thanksgiving on Friday, because the kids were off of school for a teacher planning day.  I did some pre-Thanksgiving prep on Thursday.

I think I got the last squash in Trondheim (or at least downtown Trondheim).  Closest I could get to a pumpkin.
Prepped for baking - soon to be a pie.  The cranberries (straight from Wisconsin) were made into a tasty cranberry sauce.

Katie had her friend Sander over for a playdate after school.  (This is the same Sander whose daily notes to Katie have wallpapered her bedroom.)
On his second day of wearing an eyepatch to school, Sam chose to decorate it a bit.
