Fire wood

On Monday evening, our firewood was delivered.  Three big bags of wood were dumped off a truck into our driveway.  This winter, we'll be heating the house with the wood-burning stove.

The starting point

Dave thought it would work great to have the kids help with stacking the wood.  That  lasted about ten minutes.  It ended with Sam and Katie jumping on the trampoline and Grace and Isaac watching Dave and me stack wood from their bedroom window (to keep them out of the way.)

There's just something fun about using a wheelbarrow

It took until after dark to get the whole pile stacked and covered.

The hard work paid off, as the next morning it was raining.  We are set for the cold season.
