Waffles anyone?

Another lovely day in Trondheim.  The weather has been unbeatable.  Sunshine, breeze, and in the high 60s to low 70s.

We made waffles this morning.  Discovered the smoke alarms in the house are working.  Thus we set up our waffling station in the window.  The outcome was delicious.

We have a playground within "Hey kids, it's time for lunch!" shouting distance from the house.  Though our insider info tells us that an American 'inside voice' is a Norwegian 'outside voice', so we probably won't be bellowing for the kids throughout the neighborhood.
You can see our place between the two yellow houses.

The one toy I brought from home for the kids is a new set of magnets that I found this summer at a mathematics conference for teachers.  All the kids love to play with them.   Isaac is a pro using the pentagons to make the dodecahedron.  Of course, he says, "Mom, Look at the ball I made."  Then he smashes it on the floor and rebuilds it.

Dave just said, "It's kind of chilly in here.  Maybe I should close the window."  Haven't heard that kind of talk in a while.  We are trying to send cooling vibes to our friends back in the heatwave in Texas.

  1. Did you serve the waffles cold with sour cream and strawberry preserves? You'll see this eventually...
