Industrious colorers
ALIENS!
Hot cocoa - it was a cool, rainy day
Isaac and I spent the afternoon at his barnehage.  We arrived during afternoon snack.  Isaac played with the ubiquitous IKEA finger puppets while I visited the administration building to figure out how we pay for the childcare.  Nobody seems to use checks here.  All bills are paid electronically through your bank account.  We need to get one of those.

Isaac has two classmates named Hedwig.  :)

One of the forms I needed to fill out for the barnehage was a consent for Isaac to sleep outside in his stroller during naptime.  Seriously!  Norwegian babies prefer to sleep outdoors in their cozy strollers, rather than inside.  At the barnehage, the strollers are all lined up on the porch and a teacher sits outside and watches over them while the babies sleep.  Even in the winter.

Norwegian napping
Isaac fell asleep on our stroll back home, so he slept in his stroller in front of our house while I made supper.
We got our first mail!  My Uncle Bob is awesome!!
Dinner time - fish soup

A quote from Sam at dinner:  "I'm not shivering because I'm cold, I'm shivering for fear I won't get that Lego set."

  1. #1 Awesome quote by Sam.

#2 I love fish soup! But I never eat it here. Hm. Gotta change that.

#3 The stroller napping concept at barnehage cracks me up.

  2. I "LOVE" the picture of Grace. We miss her smiling face at church. We'll surely miss she and Isaac in the choir practice room when it starts up again this week! They were part of the team!
