The kids requested pancakes a few days ago, so I turned to the internet for a recipe. The recipe was really for crepes, which were requested again on Sunday morning. This time, we had Nutella on hand, so the crepes were even tastier.

The fire alarm didn't go off this morning |
We went to the 11am service at Nidaros Cathedral. It was wonderful. It was baptism Sunday, which is held once a month. There were five babies baptized. (There are babies everywhere in this country. I don't see how it could be possible that Norway could have negative population growth.)
The entire service was in Norwegian, but singing along with the hymns printed in the hymnals was a great way to practice my pronunciation. And the pipe organ! The kids all behaved wonderfully, even though the service was over an hour and a half. It was pretty awe-inspiring to worship in such a historic church.

Our street |
In the afternoon, some friends came over to play. Peter and Anna were prepared with balloons for a water balloon fiesta on the trampoline. They all got drenched.

After everyone dried out, the Lego ninja made an appearance |

Katie picked a large bowl of currants and wanted to bake a pie, so that was our project after our visitors left. |

Amazing Grace |
After dinner, Isaac, Grace, and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. The streets are quite narrow and not busy, so it is safe for us to stroll right down the middle of the road. The little guys love the independence.
We walked to a neighborhood school and played on the playground a bit.

It got Isaac's seal of approval |
