Katie - author/illustrator

On Wednesday, when I was picking up Isaac, I got a call from home.  It is always Katie, and her call usually means one of two things:  1)  Katie wants permission to eat something sweet, or 2) Sam is using the laptop and hasn't given Katie a turn.  This time, Katie said, "Mom, how do you spell fairy?"  I sure love that girl.

Table of contents - a bit misplaced, but very informative

We might need to have a heart-to-heart about the virtues of depending on oneself, rather than a prince.

  1. LOL! I literally laughed out loud when I read that and I am still laughing! I can see we might need to have that same conversation with our 4 year old who also thinks that a prince should always need to rescue her!

  2. Dreamers are rare, and Katie is a dreamer. But alas, soon Ms. Katie will be in her 20s and will grow out of this, I think. I hope she grows to LOVE the independent livin', as I do. :-)
