Spring Break - Galveston Day 1

Isaac and Grace calling each other on their cell phones on the drive down to Galveston.
Enjoying the sea air out on the balcony.
SafetyDave manually checked each post in the balcony railing for looseness before he'd let the kiddos out there. The Seawall and the Gulf are in the upper right.
Katie and Sam enjoyed the bunkbeds.
Queen of the balcony.

Katie shows off a well-placed dandelion.

Smiling Grace and her trusty pushcart (which she no longer needs!)

February Fun

Isaac and Grace - Legomaniacs in-training
Grace's first night in her big girl bed - the lower bunk in what is now the girls' room. Sam and Isaac are in what was the office. Isaac finally has the crib to sleep in, and Sam sleeps in the top of the other set of bunk beds. Dave and I still haven't come to terms with the reality that we no longer have a separate office/guest room.
We had a lovely wet snow on February 11. Sam and Katie made a few snowpeople.
Making the most of a Texas snowstorm. We had three big snows this winter, including one on Christmas eve. Nice treat for us northern transplants.
At Katie's request, we all went bowling one Saturday afternoon. In true Katie form, she put together an eye-catching outfit.

Isaac is 1!

Our little guy turned one - back in February!
Gathering round the birthday cake.
Such a smile.
Grace and Katie were Isaac's unwrapping aides.
Sam and Katie set up the special gift-opening corral in the family room.
